Yes! If you would like to change which event you plan on attending, please email us as soon as possible at [email protected] and let us know which event you will attend. We will update that in our system so that we are ready for you on Walk day!

You can raise funds online by registering on this website and creating your own personalized fundraising page. You can then send a link to your fundraising page to friends and family by text, email, or through social media. They can make a pledge or donation to your Walk for LIFE effort right from their phone!

Of course! Upon registration, CPC will mail you a fundraising form. You can also print a fundraising form at home (from a printable format) by clicking here: Print Paper Fundraising Form.

A pledge is a way to ‘donate now, pay later.’ CPC will mail pledge statements to your donors in the coming months.

You can enter the donation into collected donations on your personal Walk for LIFE fundraising web page!

If you have raised or continue to raise funds in person/offline, bring them with you to the Walk for LIFE event (we collect all fundraising forms, online fundraising forms, and cash and checks received at check-in). Raise funds exclusively online to use our express check-in on your event day – bring your personalized QR code to check-in at the event!

Fundraising Walkers earn rewards by raising funds. Rewards are based on fundraising levels and vary for adults, teens, and kids. For example, all Fundraising Walkers who raise $300 or more are eligible to receive one of this year’s Walk for LIFE t-shirts at the event they attend. For more information on the fundraising rewards offered this year for kids, teens, and adults, see the Event Info page.

We do not sell any of our Walk for LIFE rewards. They are given to Fundraising Walkers as fundraising rewards only.

Yes! If you are unable to attend an event, you may stop by our admin office after the final Walk for LIFE event to pick up any rewards you have earned.

Raise $300 or more and attend the Chesapeake Walk for LIFE event, and you will receive one entry into the drawing. For every additional $300 raised, Fundraising Walkers will receive one extra entry into the drawing. You must be present at the time of the drawing at the Chesapeake event to win.

Unfortunately, no. If a Fundraising Walker attends the Chesapeake Walk for LIFE event in order to qualify for entry into the Vacation Package Giveaway drawing, they are no longer eligible to attend the Walk for LIFE at the Virginia Zoo, and vice versa. Each Fundraising Walker must choose ONE event or the other.

A Fundraising Walker who wins the Vacation Package Giveaway must wait three years before being eligible to win again.

Yes. First-time Fundraising Walkers who raise funds online by the deadline are entered into a special drawing for a prize. For the purposes of this drawing, a first-time Fundraising Walker is defined as someone who has not raised funds through the Walk for LIFE in the past three years.

Yes. Returning Fundraising Walkers who raise more in 2026 than they did the last time they raised funds are entered into a special drawing. For the purposes of this drawing, a returning Fundraising Walkers is defined as someone who has raised funds through the Walk for LIFE in the past three years.

Walk for LIFE Badges are bonus achievements you automatically earn as you raise funds online through our Walk for LIFE fundraising site. Each badge earns you one entry into the prize drawing connected to that badge. The more badges you earn, the more chances you have to win a prize.

Badges are earned automatically through online pledges and donations only. There is no tracking or reporting required.

Log into your Walk for LIFE fundraising page and click “Edit your Walk for LIFE Fundraiser.”

All prize drawings take place after Walk for LIFE officially ends. Winners will be notified shortly after.

No. Each individual may win only one prize. If your name is drawn in more than one prize drawing, you will only win the first prize for which your name is drawn. However, winning a drawing does not exclude winners from winning the Vacation Package Giveaway Drawing at Chesapeake.

No. CPC employees, and their immediate households, are not eligible to win prize drawings.
